So, let’s talk about this young whippersnapper, Zac Alley, who’s reportedly about to land a gig with West Virginia University as their new defensive coordinator. Now, here’s a guy who’s spent more time in the coaching game than I’ve spent waiting for my coffee to brew! At a mere 28 years old, he’s been strutting around as the youngest defensive coordinator in the FBS, like he’s some sort of football prodigy. Meanwhile, I’m over here wondering if I can still remember where I left my keys yesterday. But I digress! He’s been hanging out with the Oklahoma Sooners, making their defenses as solid as a rock, or at least as solid as a rock can get in a world full of loose cannons. They say he’s about to sign a three-year deal, and I can already hear the sound of dollars flying out of the university’s budget faster than a quarterback dodging a tackle. It’s a wild world in college football, folks! We’ve got coaches coming and going, and here’s Alley, who’s probably still trying to figure out how to order a drink at a bar without getting carded. But hey, if he can whip that defense into shape, maybe those college kids will finally learn how to tackle without looking like they’re practicing for a slapstick comedy. So let’s raise a glass, or maybe a foam finger, to the next chapter in the WVU saga. Who knows? Maybe he’ll turn those kids into a defensive powerhouse, or at the very least, a group that can remember to keep their helmets on during the game!
