The man’s had more ups and downs than a jackrabbit at a dance party, having once whipped the 49ers into shape, only to part ways after a season that could only be described as a bit too average for his taste. Now, as he basks in the glory of Michigan’s Big Ten triumph, whispers of NFL interest float around like a summer breeze.
