Well, folks, gather ’round! You ever see a coach get the boot and still smile like he just found a dollar bill on the sidewalk? That’s Neal Brown for you! Five days post-firing, this guy’s out here thanking everyone from the janitor to the athletic director, shaking hands like he’s running for office! I mean, what’s next? A BBQ for the fans? ‘Hey, thanks for all the losses, let’s grill some burgers!’ But seriously, he talks about gratitude while acknowledging his team just got smacked harder than a piñata at a kid’s birthday party. Come on! He knows they stunk up the field like a three-day-old fish. ‘We played so poorly,’ he admits. No kidding, Neal! But instead of wallowing in the misery, he’s preaching about new beginnings and the importance of resources. And let me tell you, folks, if there’s one thing a coach needs, it’s a fat wallet. You can’t win with pocket change, right? So, here’s to Neal, the grateful ex-coach, hoping his old team doesn’t trip over their own shoelaces in the bowl game. Because let’s face it, if they can’t get it together now, they might as well take up knitting!
