In a world where baseball players are often overshadowed by their more famous counterparts, Bryce Molinaro is stepping up to the plate and making a name for himself. The Penn State infielder has been named to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team, and if that doesn’t make you want to grab a hot dog and cheer, I don’t know what will! With a batting average of .329 and a whopping 11 home runs last season, Molinaro is proving that he’s not just another player in the lineup; he’s the one you want to watch.

But wait, there’s more! This isn’t just a one-hit wonder. Molinaro also racked up 13 doubles and 45 RBIs, making him a triple threat on the field. It’s like he’s playing a game of baseball bingo, and he’s just one home run away from a full card! If you want to read more about his journey, check out this [related story](https://www.psucollegian.com/sports/baseball/former-penn-state-baseball-player-adam-cecere-accepts-job-with-philadelphia-phillies/article_da08ce74-bf1a-11ef-adec-1f777e3f1a0d.html) about another Penn State player making waves in the MLB.

As if that wasn’t enough, Molinaro’s recognition comes on the heels of his previous accolades, including a third-team All-Big Ten selection and a spot on the Big Ten All-Tournament team. It’s safe to say that this kid is going places, and we’re all just lucky to be along for the ride. So, grab your mitts and get ready for a season of home runs and high fives! White out hype video – Penn State vs USC

Published

on

The Penn State Nittany Lions return to Happy Valley battered and bruised after consecutive defeats, including a brutal 34–13 loss on the shores of Northwestern. Their armor is dented, their banners torn, and their pride wounded. But there is no time to recover. Marching east comes the mighty Trojan army of USC, battle-tested and fresh off a hard-fought victory over Washington. The Trojans smell blood, and a wounded Lion looks like easy prey.

But the Trojans have made one fatal miscalculation: they aren’t just marching into another battlefield. They’re marching into the WHITE OUT. 🏰⚪️ Over 100,000 faithful will transform Beaver Stadium into a sea of white as the entire kingdom rises to defend its Lions. The Trojans have come seeking conquest. The Lions have a kingdom to protect. Saturday night, the gates open. Let the battle begin. ⚔️🔥

Penn State just added another linebacker in a lacrosse jersey, apparently

Penn State’s lacrosse program has spent the recruiting trail doing what good programs do: quietly collecting athletes who look like they were built in a lab by a particularly optimistic strength coach. The latest addition is Kane Pritchett, a 4-star SSDM in the Class of 2028 who announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions, giving Jeff Tambroni’s staff another long, rangy defender with the kind of frame that makes opposing ball carriers reconsider their life choices before they even get to midfield.

Pritchett checks in around 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds and plays at Salisbury School in Connecticut, which is exactly the sort of place that sounds like it produces either future All-Americans or people who can explain a zone slide in four different languages. Inside Lacrosse called him a “power athlete,” which is recruiting-speak for “this kid probably wins every sprint drill and then politely apologizes about it.” He’s also got the family pedigree: his father, Wes Pritchett, played linebacker at Notre Dame, won a national title, and later made his way into the NFL, while his brother Marshall is catching passes at Alabama. In other words, Penn State didn’t just land a recruit — it added another member to a household where football and contact sports seem to be less hobbies and more generational curses. The Nittany Lions now have seven commitments in the 2028 class, and if this keeps up, Tambroni may need to start reserving locker room space for the entire recruiting industrial complex.

Mark Pavlik gets the Hall call Penn State volleyball had coming for years

Penn State men's volleyball coach Mark Pavlik honored in AVCA Hall of Fame announcement image.

Penn State men’s volleyball has officially reached the part of the movie where the old coach gets the gold jacket, the curtain call, and the standing ovation that lasts longer than a Rec Hall timeout. Former Nittany Lions boss Mark Pavlik is headed to the AVCA Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class, which feels less like a surprise and more like the volleyball equivalent of handing a boss-level achievement trophy to the guy who spent 32 years turning the Nittany Lions into a permanent inconvenience for everyone else. The AVCA class will be inducted Dec. 17 in San Antonio, and yes, that date now has the same energy as “please clear the aisle for greatness.”
