This Week’s NFL Highlights: Saquon goes off, Commanders almost pull another miracle and kickoff returns galore

This week in the NFL, the players didn’t just bring their A-game; they brought the kind of drama and flair that keeps fans glued to their screens. Here’s a sarcastic, funny rundown of the top plays from the week:

1. KaVontae Turpin’s 99-Yard Kickoff Return

Video: Watch here
Commanders pulling a comeback, kick it off, and the Cowboys’ returner KaVontae Turpin fumbles it. Ideal situation for the Commanders, right? Wrong. Turpin hit turbo mode and decided he didn’t need any help from his teammates. A casual 99-yard return later, the Commanders were left wondering if they accidentally entered “spectator mode.”

2. Saquon Barkley’s Track Meet Against the Rams – 300+ Yard Performance

Video: Watch the highlight here!

Saquon Barkley decided to turn the Rams’ defense into a highlight reel, ripping off two long touchdown runs that left defenders gasping for air and questioning their career choices. Add in a handful of other explosive plays, and Barkley looked more like a cheat code than a running back. Rams fans, look away—this one stings.

3. Related to that, A.J. Brown is still a monster

4. Seahawks Defense Turns Up the Heat

Seattle’s defense said, “Not in our house,” turning Kyler Murray’s offensive plans into scrap paper. Just like the Laker legend, Seattle’s defense had people calling “KOBE” “Coby” to close out the game.

5. Baker Mayfield’s Passing Clinic

Baker Mayfield was in full-on chef mode, slicing and dicing the Giants’ defense with pinpoint accuracy. This play was all about his running ability though as he went aerial for the TD. Throwing salt in the wound, he did the Tommy DeVito celebration right in the face of all of New York.

6. Tua Tagovailoa Lights Up the Patriots

Tua served up four touchdowns with the ease of someone flipping burgers at a backyard cookout. The Patriots’ secondary was left chasing ghosts—or maybe just Tyreek Hill.

7. Caleb Williams’ Insane Scramble and throw

The Chicago Bears have been a brutal watch for the most part this year, however you’ll get glimpses of brilliance here and there. This is a perfect example and shows why the Bears took Williams #1 overall. One of the best on the run throws you’ll see all year:

8. Juanyeh Thomas’ Onside Kick Return Touchdown

When life gives you an onside kick, you sprint 63 yards to the house. Thomas made it look so easy you’d think the Commanders’ special teams were paid actors.

9. Terry McLaurin’s Highlight Reel Catch

Video: Watch the play

Possibly the highlight of the week and up there for highlight of the year. Terry McLaurin reminded us all why he’s called “Scary Terry” with a jaw-dropping catch that looked straight out of a Madden glitch. Fighting off tight coverage, McLaurin pulled down a sideline grab that defied gravity and physics. The Cowboys’ defenders could only stand there in disbelief, as if they were extras in McLaurin’s personal highlight film.

If you’re into acrobatics and impossible catches, this is one for your “Best NFL Plays” playlist. It’s moments like this that make Terry McLaurin a nightmare for defensive backs and a dream for highlight reels.
